Blue Green Algae was detected in Grenadier Pond this summer. Fish die off was observed by many community members and reported to Turtle Protectors. The Ministry of Environment tested the water and it was reported to Toronto Public Health due to a risk to people and their dog companions. Yet, there was no mention of the impact upon the beings who call this Pond home. Unfortunately, this algae is toxic and can have a devastating impact upon animal relatives. Carolynne and Jenny will share their efforts to protect Hatchlings and all animal kin living in Grenadier Pond.
