Nest Protector Repair Day (Smythe)

  • Smythe Park Outdoor Pool 61 Black Creek Boulevard Toronto, Ontario, M6N 2K6 Canada (map)

As we transition into nesting season, our nest protectors need some TLC (tender loving care). We are focusing on repairing the NPs we currently have before building new ones.

Most of the nest protectors need the mesh re-installed, and a few need the stake holes enlarged so that the stakes can move freely.

Smythe and Humber are joining forces to host a NP repair day at Smythe Park!

9:30AM - Picking up NPs at Etienne Brule Park, meet at the storage bin.

10AM - Meet at the Smythe Park parking lot, near the pool entrance, for NP repair. ‍

  • All hands and skill levels welcome! Please bring sun protection and a water bottle as it will be warm and sunny outside.

  • TP Volunteer Mentor Darci Cheyne is hosting this event, please message her to coordinate on the day if needed.

Other parks need mini repair parties like this one - if you are willing to host, please post in the General Communications chat! We can help get you the tools and supplies needed for repairs.
