What to do if you see a Turtle on land?
We respond to calls about all Turtles who are seen on land, injured, or deceased. We assist Turtles to cross roads safely, protect nests, and assist Hatchings (baby Turtles) to get safely to water

Mid April to late May: 10am to 6pm
Late May to mid July: 6am to 9pm
Mid July to mid August: 9am to 9pm
Mid August to late October: 6am to 9pm
Seasonal Turtle Activity:
Sometime in March: Turtles will come out of brumation and may be seen basking on logs
Spring Hatchling season: mid to late April (same time as Cherry Blossom season) to late May
Nesting season: late May to mid July
Late summer/autumn Hatchling season: mid August to late October
Late October to sometime in March: Turtles will go into a form of hibernation (brumation). At this time they may cross roads to get to their winter wetlands or their spring/summer wetlands
